Lawn Be Gone. First Step.

After receiving approval from DWP to give me a rebate for removing my turf, I started the process. I first stopped watering my front lawn.

Two weeks later, my lawn looks like this:

I'm asking a gardener to give me a quote on removing the dead turn and on grading and mulching the front yard. Hopefully I'll be picking drought tolerant plants to beautify this very ugly yard too. I might even build a little deck and bench area so that people can sit outside. As it is now, there is very little incentive to draw people into the yard itself.
